DANVILLE — Two suspects were arrested Wednesday on suspicion of multiple charges in connection with a pair of car burglaries in separate towns, followed by a vehicle pursuit and solo collision, authorities said.
As officers learned that a garage-door clicker was among several items taken from the victim’s car, the victim alerted officers to an alarm notification from her home just west of Interstate 680 in Danville. Realizing the home was likely being burglarized, officers alerted Danville police, who sent officers to the address and found it had been burglarized.
When officers tried to stop the Honda on I-680 south of Stoneridge Drive, it briefly stopped before fleeing south at high speed. Moments later at around 11:30 a.m., the Honda crashed just after exiting I-680’s Bernal Avenue off-ramp.
