Oakland police have investigated 49 homicides this year, eight fewer than at this time in 2021.

OAKLAND — Two men were killed in separate East Oakland shootings about an hour apart, one of which also wounded a woman, police said Tuesday.

A 38-year-old man died in the latter shooting. Police said he was inside a home in the 11000 block of Novelda Street. Police said it was his residence and that they have not determined a motive. No arrests were made.
