Two people died and three others were hospitalized in a possible overdose case Sunday in a Hawaii hotel on the island of Oahu, local officials told SFGATE.Emergency crews first arrived at the Outrigger Reef Waikiki Resort after a woman called 911, saying that she woke up in her hotel room and discovered that four of her friends were not responsive.

First responders subsequently arrived at the hotel and performed life-saving measures on three men, ages 40, 44 and 53, and two women, ages 47 and 53, Honolulu police said. The 44-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, and the other individuals were transported to a local hospital, officials said.
