SAN JOSE — In separate incidents two weeks apart, two men have died while incarcerated at Santa Clara County jails, authorities said.
The first incident occurred on Feb. 4, when a man was found unresponsive in his cell at the Main Jail in San Jose, at around 10:28 a.m, police said. He was pronounced dead an hour later.Crime and Public Safety | The man was identified as Rick Alan Giles, 59, of San Jose. Police say he’d been booked into the jail a month earlier for a parole violation.
