Jose William Perez-Felipe, 25, and Wilber Sori San Miguel, 31, were indicted Thursday by a U.S. Middle District Court grand jury on charges of conspiracy to transport stolen goods and interstate transportation of stolen property.They left Louisville, Kentucky, on Nov. 29 in the van carrying 22 stolen catalytic converters, cutting tools and blades, hand tools and other equipment bound for New York.
From there they traveled to the State College area where they used geolocation features on their phones to search for businesses and locations that might have trucks from which they could steal converters. They then parked the van in a campus parking garage where they slept. They were arrested by University Park police on charges of theft, receiving stolen property, criminal mischief and defiant trespass.
