also marks the first time TXT introduce subunits in an album, spanning the two last tracks of the project. “When we were working on the album, when we were monitoring, it kind of felt weird that I could not hear the voices of all five of us [in every song,]” Beomgyu tells. “But even though we could not hear the voices of all five members, anyone could know that this is a song of TOMORROW X TOGETHER. And that's when I felt that our team's color has become really distinct.
The first of these subunits is “Lonely Boy,” a contemporary R&B-inspired ballad sung by Yeonjun and Huening Kai. “It's a song about the main character regretting after a breakup,” Yeonjun explains to. Notably, this is the only song in the project that also features a Korean title: 네 번째 손가락 위 타투, which HYBE translates as “the tattoo on my ring finger.
The second subunit is “Thursday's Child Has Far to Go,” which also serves as the closer for the album and features Soobin, Beomgyu, and Taehyun. Borrowing its name from a Mother Goose nursery rhyme and drawing from ‘80s synth-pop, the track is produced by Beomgyu in tandem with Slow Rabbit and Revin. Producer Beomgyu describes the song as “hopeful,” and believes the track is the perfect way to “wrap up the album on a very delightful note.

However, it’s one of these newly-introduced subunits that seemingly get the honor this time around, though there’s a small difference. “Our album title isand the subunit song is ‘Thursday's Child Has Far to Go,’” Taehyun explains. “So for the album, it'sbecause Thursday is a day in the middle of the week, but it [could] also feel like a weekend, right? We were trying to express that transitional period where [boyhood] turns into adulthood.
