Memphis police have departmentally charged an officer who allegedly used a taser on Tyre Nichols during a Jan. 7 traffic stop. Nichols died at a local hospital days later.

"On today's date, the Memphis Police Department reached an additional finding in the administrative investigation into the tragic death of Mr. Tyre Nichols.
