The search for a kite surfer who was reported missing on Lake Michigan near Evanston Saturday has been suspended following search efforts.
U.S. National Guard confirmed the search has been suspended after their helicopter, as well as a small boat and Evanston Police investigations, did not find a body or any updates.
The U.S. Coast Guard received a distress call around 5:30 p.m. from a firefighter who saw the surfer go underwater. They also suspended their search pending any other further developments.
