U.S. judge keeps Roger Stone sentencing for Thursday

WASHINGTON - A federal judge on Tuesday said on Tuesday she would stick to the sentencing schedule this week for Roger Stone, a longtime friend of President Donald Trump. Stone was due to be sentenced on Thursday after he was found guilty in November of seven counts of lying to Congress, obstruction and witness tampering. Judge Amy Berman Jackson said the longtime Republican operative would not need to begin serving his sentence immediately.
