The U.S. Treasury Department on Thursday announced more sanctions on Russia in response to the country's ongoing invasion of Ukraine.

The targets include"dozens of Russian defense companies, 328 members of the Russian State Duma, and the head of Russia's largest financial institution," officials said in a news release, referring to Herman Gref, the head of Sberbank. An announcement of additional sanctions had been expected on Thursday.
