Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made his first trip to the Kharkiv region since Ukrainian forces
of territory there over the weekend, as he sought to capitalize on his country’s battlefield gains in a bid for further aid from the West.of the Ukrainian campaign. Since early in the invasion, the city served as a hub for Russian troops and weapons in the northeast. The visit came on the same day as the European Union announced a large package of fresh aid to Ukraine.
