US: Toyota To Invest $2.5 Billion In Battery Gigafactory In North Carolina via insideevs.com
Toyota has just announced an additional investment of $2.5 billion in its newest North American facility, Toyota Battery Manufacturing North Carolina .the $1.29 billion investment related to hybrid/plug-in hybrid vehicle battery production, which was announced in late 2021In total, the Japanese company will invest $3.8 billion at the site and create approximately 2,100 jobs .
Another question is also whether TBMNC, which is a joint venture between Toyota Motor North America and Toyota Tsusho, will produce only battery packs or also lithium-ion cells.
