After a tragic loss, the tight-knit community of Uvalde is coming together, giving blood in response to the massacre at Robb Elementary.

Encinia has lived in Uvalde for 20 years. He says he wasn’t sure what to think when he saw officers going toward Robb Elementary.In the wake of the massacre, the South Texas Blood Bank held an emergency blood drive. The donation line wrapped around the building. Encinia says he usually gives blood, and this shooting so close to home made giving an even greater priority.
For the father of five, giving blood is easy. But he knows it will take the community time to heal from this tragedy.
