12 people were ejected from the open trailer when it rolled over on Friday morning, according to police.
Multiple helicopters and EMS were called when the tractor went off the road in the 1100 block of Furnace Road, Lower Chanceford Township, flipping over around 11:15 a.m., according to police. Although it happened near Otter Creek campground, a representative of the facilities said those involved with the crash were not staying there.
The coroner’s office is withholding names while it notifies next of kin, but it has said a 9-year-old boy, two girls, ages 14 and 6, and a 36-year-old woman were killed. Reed described the tractor as an “older model” pulling a utility-type flatbed trailer, with two feet of “fencing” around it. The coroner’s office referred to it as a wagon.
