Vin Diesel is in the recording studio to voice Groot for exciting MCU projects. Diesel is best known for headlining the Fast & Furious film franchise. In 2014, Diesel joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Guardians of the Galaxy. He provided the voice and motion capture for Groot, the sentient tree-like humanoid whose vocabulary is limited to the line:"I am Groot." Diesel reprised the role in the Guardians sequel and again in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.
Groot was first introduced as Rocket Raccoon's partner whose abilities include growing his vines and branches. The tree-like alien sacrificed himself to save his friends in the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie. Following his death, Rocket grew a sapling from his branches and raised the Baby Groot into a Teenage Groot. He was among those who vanished after Thanos' snap and was later resurrected by the Avengers.
It is unknown whether Diesel would be voicing the famous talking tree for the Disney+ series, but fans can keep their fingers crossed. There is no doubt that Diesel's deep voice has become synonymous with the"I am Groot" catchphrase. With just those three words, the actor gave life to the CGI character and endeared it to millions of fans. It is certainly exciting to know what the MCU has in store for the talking tree beyond Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.
