Homicide investigators still have a lot of work ahead of them after a violent weekend in Jacksonville.
Two early morning shootings and another two that evening left four people dead including a juvenile on Saturday. A fifth shooting occurred in Brentwood Sunday night. The female victim is expected to be okay.
Westside resident Joseph Fuentes thought two boys parked in front of his house Saturday night with car troubles.“A short guy came out basically saying ‘man please help me. My homeboy got shot,’” Fuentes said.“They started running into a vehicle. I believe it was an SUV,” Fuentes said.It turns out, this encounter was connected to another incident.One of them was found at that original scene but the other was found on Moret Drive-by Fuentes.Five men were wounded in two early morning shootings.
“I’m not sure if it’s something common but I’m quite sure a lot of crime is going on in the neighborhood. It’s just sad to see things like that happen in the community,” Kee said.”He was found in the Crafty Crab parking lot near the Regency Square Mall.However, he stated they did not recognize them from the neighborhood.Your browser does not support HTML5 audio.
