HOLIDAY HELP: Major grocery chains trim Thanksgiving prices as inflation soars
FOX Business correspondent Madison Alworth has the latest on response to record-high inflation on 'Varney & Co.'of putting a Thanksgiving feast on the table.
Earlier this month, Walmart announced that customers will be able to get Thanksgiving meal staples such as turkey, ham, potatoes and stuffing "at last year's price." "Saving money is a top priority for our customers right now, so this year, we’re removing inflation on an entire basket containing traditional Thanksgiving items," John Laney, executive vice president of food at Walmart U.S. said in a blog post.
The news comes just after discount supermarket chain Aldi announced that it's discounting Thanksgiving staples so that they will match 2019 prices.
