Nancy Whiteman, who took Wana from a Boulder kitchen to a $300 million buyout, says she will step down next month.

She will be replaced by current chief marketing officer Joe Hodas, according to an announcement from Wana.
“I’m thrilled that Joe Hodas will be taking my place at the helm of Wana. While it is never easy for a founder to step away from the company they started, I’ve got full confidence that Joe and our Wana leadership team are well-positioned to continue Wana’s growth," she says in a statement."I also look forward to staying connected through my role on the Canopy USA board of managers.”
In a statement announcing the move, Hodas calls the new role as "equal parts exciting and intimidating," and describes following Whiteman as filling"some of the largest shoes in cannabis."Wana Brands
