Since Bungie has decided the best way to hype next week’s season 17 in Destiny 2 is apparently to reveal nothing about it at all indefinitely, time to pivot to…a new shader!
How to get it? Easy, this is not one tied to some achievement in the event. It’s just 300 Bright Dust in the Eververse store on the first page at the bottom, and you can earn that much doing a couple Eva bounties if you’re flat broke. But again, it will only be here this week until it disappears for an entire year, hence the entire post about running out to get this shader.
While I have you here, I will also recommend that you pick up Pole Position, another Guardian Games shader. This one is not a motion shader, but it has a unique “pearlescent” effect that does produce rainbow-like colors on some surfaces, and it’s one of the better shaders I’ve seen in a while. The catch with Pole Position is that it’s not sold for Bright Dust, you have to turn in a whole lot of medals during the event and claim the triumph for it.
