by BakersfieldNow StaffBAKERSFIELD, Calif. —29-year-old Colorado man was allegedly in a relationship with a young girl in Bakersfield before abducting her.According to a warrant from the Superior Court of California for the County of Kern, on March 17, 2024, at around 5:36 a.m., deputies were called to the Pioneer Trailer Park on Pioneer Drive for a report of a missing person.
It read the girl did not have any priors for being reported missing. The warrant said she left the home barefoot.Kern County Sheriff Donny Youngblood held a briefing on the missing girl Tuesday afternoon. The warrant read detectives learned the girl was talking to the man through social media. The warrant read the girl told her friends that the man wanted to pick her up and marry her.
The warrant read detectives initiated an emergency ping on the girl’s phone and had negative results. Detectives also initiated an emergency ping on Stehle’s number and found that he was in the area of Baker, California on Interstate 15 at around 6:23 a.m. Sunday morning.
