The Kings and Grizzlies could team up to do the Warriors a huge favor
If the Kings shut it down with nothing to play for, the Warriors have a gilded path to a top-six seed. All they'd have to do to avoid the play-in would be beat the end of the Kings' bench on Friday and then beat the Blazers on Sunday. The Blazers have shut down Damian Lillard for the season and lost 13 of their last 15 games.
The Warriors could even clinch a top-six seed Friday night, although it's unlikely. If the Warriors beat the Kings and the Lakers and Pelicans lose Friday, the Warriors can do no worse than sixth. If the Warriors win out and the Clippers lose against either the Blazers or the Suns this weekend, Golden State finishes fifth. The Warriors' reward for that would be a first-round matchup against Kevin Durant and the Suns.
