Actor Johnny Depp has appeared to have some fun during his $50 million defamation suit against ex-wife Amber Heard. Depp was seen laughing throughout the court proceedings despite the heavy allegations of domestic abuse Heard has lodged against him.
When Depp's artist friend Isaac Baruch took the stand on the second day of the trial, he testified what he saw living in the penthouse suite down the hall from Depp and Heard. Baruch happily proclaimed Depp paid for the entirety of the penthouse, in addition to paying Baruch for his art.As Baruch told the court about Depp's offer to live in the penthouse, which seemed all too good to be true, Depp snickered at his friend.
Heard's lawyers attempted to cross-examine Malcolm Connolly, a bodyguard for the actor for over 20 years, regarding Depp's alleged drinking problem. Connolly reported that he only saw Depp drunk twice. Still, the lawyers pushed, alleging that Connolly once saw Depp so drunk that he once exposed himself and attempted to urinate in a foyer. Depp also took the stand to testify about the time a maid discovered poop on his side of the bed.
