TUCSON, Ariz. — Tucson Police are holding a press conference at 10 a.m. on the officer killed in a crash Sunday night.TPD says the officer that was involved in a crash near Campbell Ave. and 6th St. Sunday night, has died from his injuries. The department confirmed it was a male officer; and he was responding to a call for service when he ended up involved in a collision.
KGUN 9 crews are en route to the scene now; officers say they will have an update later this morning at 10 a.m.According to TPD, the crash happened near Campbell Ave. and 6th St., just before 10 p.m on Sunday, March 31st. TPD says one of its officers was hurt in the crash, and was taken to Banner with unknown injuries.
Details are extremely limited at this time, but drivers in the area are encouraged to seek an alternate route while police investigate.
