Watershed Distillery in Columbus has released its seasonal strawberry gin. Here's what you can do with it.
Watershed Distillery’s Four Peel Strawberry Gin should be added to that list. The Columbus distillery uses its traditional gin recipe and infuses it with in-season, vine-ripened Ohio strawberries. The 2024 vintage is finished and is expected to sell out as this year’s strawberry season was weak.
This reporter is open to new spirits, especially those with local ties. I like strawberries and I like gin, so I made a special effort to find a bottle. It’s available at the distillery, 1145 Chesapeake Ave., Columbus, and selected Ohio Liquor stores. Inventory lists are available, though you may want to call ahead. At retail, you’ll find an 88 proof, 750 ml bottle for $39.99.
