TORNADO WARNING: A line of severe storms moving through the area this afternoon has resulted in a tornado warning for parts of our area.
Parts of Berks and Lehigh counties were placed under a Tornado Warning shortly after 2 p.m. as storms moved into the area. The warning expired around 2:30 p.m.Forecasters expect the storms to bring heavy rain, lightning, strong winds, and the potential for hail.
Due to already water-logged conditions around the area, forecasters say heavy rain will cause creeks and streams to rise faster. Strong wind guests are also more likely to topple trees rooted in moist ground. The storms are expected to impact the area through the afternoon and parts of the evening rush. They should start to move out by around 8 p.m.
