Gov. Wes Moore (D-MD) defended the city of Baltimore, Maryland, against criticism from Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) by invoking DeSantis's ongoing feud with Disney.
Moore did not directly mention Disney by name, but argued that DeSantis should be more worried about"some of his largest employers suing him," than about Baltimore's problems, during an interview Sunday on MSNBC's Inside with Jen Psaki."I think he should come spend some time in Baltimore. Frankly, he needs to worry about the fact he's got some of the large employers suing him.
The feud between DeSantis and the company, which led to Disney's central Florida district being restructured, stemmed from Disney denouncing the Parental Rights in Education Act, which DeSantis signed last year. Disney had previously maintained full autonomy over the district since its creation in 1967.
