The California Highway Patrol said there is a dip in the westbound lane of the highway west of upper Highway 35 that could turn into a sinkhole if the lane is kept open and vehicles continue to drive over it.
The westbound lane has been shut down"until further notice for precautionary measures," the CHP said.Motorists were urged to take alternate routes.This is a developing story. Details may change as more information becomes available. Stay tuned for updates.
