The University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School named Erika James of Emory University as its next dean, the first woman and African-American to head the prestigious business school
Ms. James, who has led Emory’s Goizueta school since 2014, will take over the role July 1. She succeeds Geoffrey Garrett, who is leaving Wharton to become dean of the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business.
