Carter and other experts in sports business and law said it's difficult to grapple with the potential economic ramifications of American sports behind closed doors without knowing more specifics — namely which leagues or events would be impacted and for what period of time. When approached by USA TODAY Sports, coaches and executives in multiple leagues were reluctant to talk about potential issues related to coronavirus — financial, or otherwise.
