Alabama football coach Kalen DeBoer shared his thoughts after the first practice of fall camp about new defensive backs such as DaShawn Jones.
has plenty of fresh faces in the defensive backs room, and several didn’t get to Tuscaloosa until after the spring.
Howard joined from Charlotte, Mack joined from Penn State and Jones joined from Wake Forest. Each made their practice debut in Tuscaloosa on Wednesday when Alabama began preseason practices. Alabama added Jones to a cornerback spot without much collegiate experience outside of USC transfer Domani Jackson. Jones started nine games a season ago for Wake Forest.
