Kyle McCord has had a strong start to his Syracuse career. Ryan Day said he's 'happy' for the former Ohio State quarterback.
“It looks like he’s doing a great job and looks like the first couple games he’s gotten a good rhythm,” Day said Tuesday. “Got a great win this past weekend. Happy to see him doing well so far.”
Through Syracuse’s 2-0 start, which featured a win against Georgia Tech on Saturday, McCord has thrown for 735 yards and eight touchdowns. Day said he has followed those who have left and supports them. Day on the offensive line’s improvement from Week 1 to Week 2: “It was cleaner ... There was effort. Day said Ohio State has staffers watching potential portal prospects as well as possible College Football Playoff opponents.
