Seltzer's Smokehouse opened last Thursday, September 1 in Palmyra with a bologna cutting ceremony.
In the past, the company ran their business inside of retail shops in the Palmyra area. According to company CEO and owner Austin Wagonger, Seltzer’s new location hopes to attract tourist with their new location.
The company has been in business since 1902, and is known for several products such as its signature deli Lebanon bologna, deli meats, and beef sticks sold out of local grocery stores. The museum will give visitors over 120 years of history of the company’s existence, getting to see old photography and historical artifacts from the smokehouse.
Store hours will operate from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays. The store is closed Sundays.Note to readers: if you purchase something through one of our affiliate links we may earn a commission.
