Where to go out during NewYorkFashionWeek
that makes going out in New York that much more enticing. Perhaps it's the flouting of over-the-top outfits, or maybe all the celebrity spotting, or perhaps it’s just the idea that, exciting things are happening all around. The only question is—where to go?
It’s a perennial musing because the answers are why so many people come to New York in the first place. In the Gilded Age, gentlemen flanked to the banquets at Delmonico’s, while the Depression saw the rise of The Stork Club, which attracted everyone from Lucille Ball to the Duke and Duchess of Windsor. The 1980s wasabout the Odeon and Pyramid Club.
Now, no one knows for sure which restaurants, lounges, and clubs will end up defining the present moment. But wehave a sense of the recently opened Manhattan hotspots that are sure to be buzzy this Fashion week, whether you want to sip a martini or dance by the DJ booth.Aughts nostalgia is in full force with NoHo’s Temple Bar, the early 2000s hotspot which was revived this fall after shuttering in 2017.
The steak cubes and popcorn are back, as well as its characteristically dark, den-like lighting that provides an ample level of discretion . Indulge in a martini with a caviar bump on the side, or perhaps a Blue Negroni, and take in the Art-Deco esque decor.Sometimes, all you want to do is dance. If that’s your mood, go to the recently opened Georgia Room in the Freehand Hotel, a 300-person ballroom with Southwestern-inspired decor, a disco ball, and a rotating list of great DJs.
