The Biden administration lit up the White House on Monday night following Sen. Lindsey Graham criticizing the president for not having shown solidarity with Israel following the terrorist attack on the country by Hamas.
“I’m urging the world to condemn Iran. I’m urging the Biden administration to cloak the White House tonight in the Israeli flag. You did it for Pride month. I want to see the Israeli flag over the White House,” Graham said during a Fox News appearance on Monday.@WhiteHouse in colors of #Israel 🇮🇱#Israel_under_attack #IsraelAtWar https://t.co/Nnk8ylxKrJ pic.twitter.com/O7AX4u8amVGraham cited other countries using the Israeli colors on the Sydney Opera House, No. 10 Downing St.
She added,"The White House was cloaked with pride flags for a month but not with the flag of Israel. Eleven Americans died over there that we know of. We don’t know how many are hostage." The White House then announced Monday night that the colors of the Israeli flag would be displayed after sundown. "The White House will be illuminated in the blue and white colors of the Israeli flag as a symbol of the United States’ 75-year relationship. This symbolizes the ironclad support and solidarity of the American people with the people of Israel in the wake of the barbaric terrorist attacks committed by Hamas," the White House said in a statement Monday night.
