Encanto director Jared Bush explains why the vision cave in Bruno Madrigal's Casita room collapsed following Mirabel Madigal's visit in a recent Twitter response. John Leguizamo starred as the Madrigal family member gifted with the power to see into the future in Disney's 2021 animated hit.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Through his Twitter account, Bush held a Q&A session and offered solutions to Encanto's potential plot holes, during which he was asked why Bruno's vision cave collapsed once Mirabel discovered his final vision.
However, cracks begin to form in the magical foundations that support both Casita and the community over the years, threatening the way of life everyone had grown accustomed to as everyone struggled to keep up with Alma's overbearing, high expectations. Events worsened when one of Bruno's visions involving Mirabel's future leads to him fleeing in hopes of avoiding a tragic fate, and gradually Luisa, Isabela , and Mirabel face their own pressures brought on by Alma's expectations.
Encanto has become one of Disney's most profound and beloved animated hits of recent years, as the film's emotional story and incredibly memorable musical numbers instantly won over audiences upon its release. Through Mirabel's quest to discover what threatened her family and home, the film featured a story that tackled transgenerational trauma in a way that is both mature and accessible for younger audiences.
