Known primarily for his portrayal of the dim-witted character Mr. Bean on television and in films, British actor Rowan Atkinson may not seem like the world's foremost expert on climate change and electric vehicles. But an op-ed he published over the weekend that declared 'our honeymoon with electric cars is coming to an end' has thrust him to the center of a global debate and ignited a backlash among environmentalists and electric vehicle experts.
