How The Oner Has Become A Hollywood Staple Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves' one-take chase sequence following Sophia Lillis' tiefling druid Doric was not only a thrilling depiction of the extent of magical abilities a shapeshifter possesses in the games, but also Hollywood's love of the unique filming technique.
Even prior to Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, directing duo Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley tried their hand at the one-take with 2018's Game Night as Jason Bateman and the ensemble cast played a game of hot potato with a faberge egg.
