Echoing Highways Hotline advisories, Saskatchewan RCMP urged motorists to avoid unnecessary travel given the state of roadways after an icy blast of winter returned this weekend
In an advisory issued late Sunday morning, the RCMP said officers across the province were reporting that weather is impacting road conditions due to snow and gusting winds. “If you absolutely must travel, ensure you have plenty of gas, a fully charged cell phone, food, water and extra warm clothing packed,” said the RCMP. Those considering travelling are advised to check the Highways Hotline as conditions deteriorated further overnight with freezing rain, turning to snow — whipped up by high winds.Article content
