Assange, 48, was arrested at the Ecuadorian embassy in London in April last year, on a US extradition warrant. He had lived at the embassy since claiming asylum there in 2012.He faces 18 charges in the US for his alleged role in encouraging, receiving and publishing classified documents linked to national defense. If convicted, he could be sentenced to up to 175 years in jail.
