Will TreVeyon Henderson return for Ohio State football’s game against Wisconsin’s Braelon Allen?

Ohio State running back TreVeyon Henderson missed the past three games with an unspecified injury.

Both performed well in their only previous meeting, last season at Ohio Stadium. Allen needed a late 75-yard touchdown run to pile up 165 yards. Henderson settled for 121 yards and no touchdowns —Day included Henderson in the group of previously injured starters who he is “expecting to have great weeks of practice” and play Saturday at Wisconsin.

Henderson has not played since OSU’s 17-14 victory at Notre Dame on Sept. 23. Whatever injury he sustained did not improve enough during the off week that followed. Dallan Hayden also led in rushing against Purdue when Henderson and Williams were unavailable and Trayanum could not finish the game due to injury. After previously saying the plan was to limit Hayden to four games and use a redshirt season, Day suggested Tuesday that plan is changing.

Saturday, though, could be the final chance for a head-to-head between Henderson and Allen. Both will be eligible to enter the NFL Draft after this season.
