Behind the cold front Saturday night, some rain may change to a brief period of wet snow over the Appalachians and parts of the interior Northeast. In the Plains, 6 inches of snow are possible from southeast Wyoming into northern Nebraska, northern Iowa, southern Minnesota, central and northern Wisconsin and northern Michigan.The placement and amount in this heaviest snow zone could change. That could mean significant forecast changes for locations such as Minneapolis-St. Paul and Omaha.
