A winter weather advisory was issued for the central and northern Cascades starting from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday with snow levels around 3,500 feet.
In the lowlands, we’ll have some rain moving ashore at the Pacific beaches before daybreak Friday and this rain moves inland quickly. We’ll have rain around Puget Sound by mid-late morning. After midday and a frontal passage, the rain will turn to more sporadic showers across the area. There will likely be a Puget Sound Convergence Zone with some heavier rainfall in and near Snohomish County through the afternoon and into Friday evening.
Rain in the lowlands and mountain snow showers will wind down overnight Friday into Saturday morning as high pressure builds over the area. We could still have a few isolated areas of sprinkles or drizzles Saturday morning, especially north of Seattle but for most of us, Saturday will be dry with increasing amounts of sunshine.On Sunday, we’ll have plenty of sunshine but there will likely be early-day fog at some spots.
