The advisory goes into effect 6 a.m. Friday for Denton, Collin, Young, Cooke, Grayson and Montague counties , the National Weather Service said. The advisory runs until 6 p.m. The weather service is anticipating sleet and snow accumulations up to a half an inch in those counties under the advisory.Today: Not much going on...but a strong cold front is on its way, arriving this evening/tonight.
The potential for winter precipitation is still on the forecast for tomorrow. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for portions of North TX from 6AM - 6PM Friday.
