Woman, 71, pronounced dead after being pulled from house fire in Roseland neighborhood
A 71-year-old woman has died, another resident was critically injured and a firefighter injured his leg during a blaze at a Roseland neighborhood home, authorities said.
About 4 a.m., officers received a call to assist paramedics at a fire in the 10500 block of South Forest Avenue where a fire was discovered on the second floor, according to Chicago police.There, a woman was found unresponsive, and was later pronounced dead at an area hospital, police said. Her name has not been released.
Sadly, there was a fatal fire overnight on the 10500 block of S Forest. 1 F resident passed away; 1 M resident was taken to Roseland in critical condition; 1 FF was transported with a lower leg injury. Pub Ed will be passing out smoke detectors & safety literature @ 10am. 0
