A 66-year-old woman was confronted by two people and punched at least once during a home invasion robbery early Wednesday morning, police said.
According to police, the woman emerged without any serious injuries from the encounter. The robbery happened at a home in the 13200 block of Campus Drive. Police said the woman was Asian, but it was not known whether she was specifically targeted because of her ethnicity.It all happened about 1:22 a.m. when two suspects broke into the home and confronted her, police said. One suspect had a gun and both demanded her money, according to police.
The two suspects eventually left with extensive jewelry and cash, police said.
