William Burchett and Tami Nayler led Arkansas sheriff's deputies on a chase through three counties when they were killed and hurt in a shootout, authorities said.

William Burchett, 54, who is a suspect in the shooting of his mother in Hokes Bluff, in Etowah County, was injured in the shootout, the agency said. Burchett was taken to St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas with unspecified injuries.
