According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, officers were called around 2:30 a.m. to Palmdale Street in the Lake Forest Hills area of Northwest Jacksonville. There were reports that someone had been shot. Officers found a woman in her late 30s with gunshot wounds to her back and leg. She was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.The motive for the shooting is not clearn.Violent Crimes Detectives and Crime Scene Unit Detectives are on the scene canvassing for witnesses and video surveillance, and it is an ongoing investigation.
