Riley reportedly began to claim she had Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2012 and needed help paying medical bills. She allegedly went to great lengths to keep the ruse going across a seven-year period, too, shaving her head and forging medical documents, prosecutors said. She even reportedly blogged about her journey and updated social media pages regarding her supposed health condition. And, prosecutors said, she even had her family convinced that she had the disease.
