Officials from varying agencies and businesses unveiled the logo for the 2024 NCAA women’s basketball Final Four, set for Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.CLEVELAND, Ohio – The logo for the NCAA women’s Final Four basketball tournament was unveiled Thursday with a strong dose of Cleveland pride.
“We feel that it really does embody the intersection of where women’s college basketball meets the Land,” said Lynn Holzman, NCAA vice president of women’s basketball who grew up in North Royalton and played volleyball, basketball and softball. Sporting events that are staged in Cleveland dovetail from cooperation between varying officials, in this case the, Mid-American Conference, the NCAA and Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
Sandra Reid, a member of the Women’s Final Four local organizing committee, said a heavy emphasis will be placed on diversity, equity and inclusion in events surrounding the competition. The logo unveiling was held a day after National Girls and Women in Sports Day.
