Apple's largest iPhone factory is giving up to $1,500 in sign-on bonuses to attract workers amid China's Omicron lockdowns as Chinese New Year approaches
Foxconn's Zhengzhou production site employs more than 300,000 workers and accounts for half of the world's iPhone production, according to the SCMP.
Foxconn's hiring bonuses come amid a surge in the Omicron variant of the coronavirus in Zhengzhou, located in Henan province.
